Human dirtbag George Zimmerman testified Tuesday against the man who allegedly shot at him last year. Prosecutors allege that Matthew Apperson fired a gun into Zimmerman's truck while both men were driving, and he is charged with attempted second-degree murder in the case, which is being tried at the Seminole County courthouse in Florida.
Was George Zimmerman the aggressor, or was he acting in self-defense?
In a bit of very tragic déjà vu, the very same judge who presided over Zimmerman's trial in the death of Trayvon Martin is also hearing this case.
In his opening statement, defense attorney Michael LaFay said Apperson was acting in self-defense and alleged George Zimmerman was the aggressor. He also told the court the men had argued previously about Martin and that Zimmerman said "You know what, I'm gonna kill you, I'm gonna shoot you just like I did that kid."
That 'kid' was Trayvon Martin
So the former neighborhood watchman cop wannabe thought that when a car tailgated him, honked and flashed its lights, it meant someone wanted to harass him again. Zimmerman added that he was trying to drive to a deputy that was parked nearby. That's when the man he recognized from the previous dispute as Apperson pulled up beside his car and fired.
In that moment, did he think about Trayvon, and how he chased the unarmed black teenager, even after police asked him not to? It makes me wonder.

Apperson alleges that Zimmerman threatened him in a road-rage incident in September 2014, but he didn't press charges.
During their previous argument about Martin, Zimmerman testified that Apperson asked if he remembered him and said he didn't press charges because "I wanted to kill you myself."
Both sides say that the tension between Zimmerman and Apperson flared over their first encounter on Sept. 9, 2014, when they argued about Martin as they drove side by side in Lake Mary, Florida. This was entirely coincidental, but after that the men bumped into each other numerous times. Zimmerman was on his way to a doctor's appointment when the initial encounter occurred, and Apperson works near Zimmerman's doctor.
Testifying to the jury, Zimmerman recounted the initial confrontation with Apperson. It appeared as if the man was pointing his finger at Zimmerman. However, his defense attorney said Apperson was keeping a beat to music in his car when the two men began yelling across the street.
"'You were wrong to kill that little boy,'" Zimmerman said Apperson told him. He responded with "'You have no clue what you're talking about and what I've done for the African-American community.'"
That would probably be news to the African-American community
Apperson told the jury that he called 911, alleging that Zimmerman followed him and threatened to kill him.
In his opening statement, Assistant State Attorney Stewart Stone said Apperson was the aggressor in the incident, which occurred in May 2015.
"From the evidence, you'll see that it was Mr. Apperson who had it out for George Zimmerman," Stone told the jury. "You'll see from the evidence that he had an intense dislike for Mr. Zimmerman, but in this case he took it one step further, and he acted out on that dislike and hostility."
But in his opening statement, LaFay said Apperson was afraid of Zimmerman.
"He's been threatened before by Mr. Zimmerman," LaFay said. "He believe that Mr. Zimmerman is a menace, and he believes that Mr. Zimmerman is capable of shooting him or anyone else who gets in his way."
Extra security measures were adopted at the courthouse ahead of Zimmerman's appearance Tuesday. Sheriff's deputies searched bags and an extra metal detector was put in place for those attending the trial.
Apperson is charged with attempted second-degree murder with a firearm, shooting into an occupied vehicle and aggravated assault with a firearm. Originally out on bond, he's been in jail after being convicted in October of urinating on his neighbor's front door when no one was home, which is a misdemeanor.
Ooops.
Zimmerman returns to the witness stand Wednesday to face additional questioning by LaFay.
In early August, Zimmerman was the recipient of a punch in the face at a Florida bar after he reportedly bragged about killing Trayvon Martin, according to witnesses and officials.
George Zimmerman is a festering pustule of a human being
He's a man who thinks nothing of retweeting a photo of Martin lying dead on the grass. He sold the gun that he used to kill the teenager for a whopping $250,000 and he's been known to brandish guns to threaten and intimidate former girlfriends.
He's an awful human being. Let's hope he finishes his testimony tomorrow and hope he never commits another gun-related crime.
However, I'm not holding my breath.
