YouTube says people now watch 1 billion hours of video every single day


We’ve all been down that rabbit hole of endlessly watching YouTube videos (I blame the suggestions bar). Perhaps a bit too much; YouTube says people now watch one billion hours of video every single day. YouTube says it hit that milestone at some point last year, showing viewership continues to increase at rapid rates. For reference, the company reportedly surpassed 500 million hours per day back 2015, and 300 million in late 2014. For a slightly more alarming reference, a billion hours is equal to over 114,155 years – something like half the time humans have even been around this planet.…
