One of the most tired clichés about the internet is that no one knows you’re a dog. That might be about to change though, if the experts on the SXSW panel The Future of You: Identity Tomorrow are to be believed. Reliably establishing someone’s identity on the internet is a problem that’s at least as old as the cartoon that sparked the cliché.
