Google brings in-browser VR to Cardboard


Google announced today that open virtual reality gallery WebVR would be available to Cardboard users. Now all you need is an Android phone and a Cardboard headset to use WebVR games. WebVR is a VR standard that works within browsers. According to the site, “The goal is to make it easier for everyone to get into VR experiences, no matter what device you have.” Not only can you experience VR more easily, you can develop VR software as you would a browser game. Google is also opening a dedicated gallery of WebVR Experiments where users can find new things to play.…
