‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ gets a surprisingly early release date


People are still analyzing all the clues in the trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi,’ and yet it’s already time to look forward to the movie after it: Disney and LucasFilm today announced ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ will be released on May 24, 2019. That’s earlier than most of us were hoping for. If you recall, ‘The Force Awakens’ was released in December 2015, and ‘The Last Jedi’ comes out this December, setting them almost exactly 2 years apart.
