When Microsoft announced the Surface Pro shortly after revealing the Surface Laptop, I couldn’t help but feel the tiniest twinge of disappointment. Microsoft’s new laptop had mainstream appeal, but it abandoned the shape-shifting nature that defined every Surface before it.
