Teaching the Google Generation


A few years ago I was lucky enough to attend a conference that was hosted at Google’s offices in Mountain View. At one point we were led on a tour of the major buildings.  In the lobby of one, gigantic flat-screens were suspended from the ceiling, flashing odd terms that scrolled upward quickly and disappeared, like a Star Wars intro. Not listening to what the tour guide was saying, I was instead staring at the screen trying to figure out what it represented.
